What commitment means
Soccer is a team sport and when you are placed on a team, you have committed to helping that team for the whole season. Your players and coaches count on you to be there. When you don't show up or give 100% of yourself you let your team down.
A committed player is one who:
-
Attends all practices and games and arrives on time
-
Comes to practices and games prepared.
-
Listens and follows coach's instructions
-
Gives her best effort at each practice and game
-
Encourages teammates and demonstrates good teamwork
-
Displays good sportsmanship.
-
Treats opponents, referees and all others with respect.
-
Accepts the decision of the game official without arguments
Most successful teams are teams that have players that always try and give 100% of themselves. These teams may not be always winners but they have the players that have the desire & commitment to always play like a champion.
A Player's Promise
- We Will Give 100% At All Times, We Will Hustle On And Off The Field, We Will Come To Learn, We Will Come To Play And We Will Come To Win.
- No One Teammate Is More Important Than Another.
- If My Teammate Falls I Will Help Her Up And Offer Encouragement. I Know She Will Do The Same For Me.
- We Will Always "HOLD THE ROPE". We Will NEVER Let Our Opponents Think They Have Beaten Us By Showing Our Emotions. We Will Not Show Our Emotions To The Game Officials. WE WILL NOT MAKE EXCUSES. We Understand That An Error Is Only A Mistake If We Don't Learn From It.
- We Will Listen To Our Coaches And Execute Our Drills And Plays To The Best Of Our Abilities. We Will Practice Drills Away From The soccer field To Continue Self Development And To Just Flat Out Become A Better soccer player.
- We Are Committed To the team For The Complete Season.
- We Will Always Treat The Great Game Of Soccer, Our Opponents, The Game Officials, Our Coaches And Teammates With The Utmost Respect.
- We Will Always Play Like A Champion.
